History

The Scottsdale Board of REALTORS® officially organized on November 1, 1963.  On October 20, 1964, we were incorporated.  Five years later, we moved to our present location and became the largest trade association in Scottsdale.  Effective January 1, 2000, the Carefree/Cave Creek Association merged with the Scottsdale Association of REALTORS® to form an even stronger Association for all of our Members.  Effective January 1, 2004, our new name became the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS®.

In 1983, we became one of four “shareholders” involved with the formation of the Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service (ARMLS), serving Maricopa County.

REALTORS® is a registered collective membership mark which may be used only by real estate professionals who are members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and subscribe to its strict Code of Ethics.  All REALTOR® Members of SAAR belong to the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
