Dues & Fees

When you join SAAR, you’re also joining the Arizona Association of REALTORS® (AAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). In addition, if you’re getting MLS access, you are also joining as a subscriber of ARMLS (Arizona Regional Multiple Listing Service).

These are all separate entities that SAAR will either collect fees for (SAAR, AAR, NAR) when you join or direct you to where you can pay your fees (ARMLS). SAAR, AAR, and NAR memberships are based on the calendar year (January 1 – December 31) and fees are prorated monthly (SAAR and NAR) or biannually (AAR). ARMLS’ fees are good for one full year from the date you pay your MLS fees.

PLEASE NOTE Policy number 13.2 of the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtors rules and regulations states, new Licensees must be reported to SAAR within ten (10) days of receipt of the license.  An application for membership is deemed notification.  If the application is not made by the Designated REALTORS® the Licensee will be added to the Designated REALTORS® firm as a non-Member and the Designated REALTOR® will be billed accordingly.

2017 and 2018 NAR Special Assessment

The Special Assessment for the Consumer Advertising Campaign (formerly known as Public Awareness Campaign) is $35 for 2017 and 2018. The assessment is billed to all active REALTOR® and REALTOR® Associate members through their primary local association and is due and owing to NAR by Jan. 1. This assessment is not pro-rated. New members will owe the full $35 when joining NAR. The Consumer Advertising Campaign special assessment is not charged to Institute Affiliate members, nor is it charged for non-members salespersons. It is also not charged for National REALTOR® Emeritus.
