Hovnanian is eyeing this 16.3-acre parcel at the NE corner of Scottsdale Road and Williams Drive.

New Jersey-based Hovnanian Enterprises Inc. has filed a zoning request with the city of Scottsdale for a parcel of land that once was home to Rawhide Western Town and Steakhouse.

K. Hovnanian is requesting approval to rezone office space to build 100 lots at 7.41 homes per acre, said Ashley Coleman, vice president of marketing for K. Hovnanian Homes. A public hearing date has not yet been set by the city.

Plans call for offering three floor plans for homes expected to range between 2,400 and 2,600 square feet, she said.

While it’s too early to discuss home prices for this new project, K. Hovnanian’s homes are priced from the $300,000s to the $800,000s in metro Phoenix, Coleman said.

To be called Aria at Silverstone, this two-story community would be built on 16.3 gross acres at the northeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Williams Drive, according to public records on file with the city of Scottsdale.
